One Board is a streamlined leadership structure in which a single, unified board provides spiritual leadership, vision, governance, and administrative oversight for the church. Authorized by the Book of Discipline, it brings together the responsibilities of several traditional committees into one body focused on mission, accountability, and strategic direction while empowering staff and ministry teams to carry out the day-to-day work of ministry.

Our One Board includes three subcommittees: Staff-Parish Relations, Finance, and Trustees. Board members serve three-year terms, and the chair of Trustees typically serves as the chair of the One Board.

The Church Council serves as a collaborative gathering of ministry leaders who help guide and support the life of the church. While the One Board provides governance and oversight, the Church Council focuses on communication, coordination, and shared vision across Mosaic’s ministries. Ministry leaders, staff, and key volunteers come together to celebrate what God is doing, share updates, and work together to strengthen the mission and ministry of the church.

Church Council meets quarterly and meetings are open to anyone who would like to hear more about what is happening in the life of Mosaic.

The Nominations and Leadership Development Committee helps identify, encourage, and equip individuals to serve in leadership and ministry roles within the church. Through prayerful discernment, the committee works to match people’s gifts and passions with opportunities to serve, helping ensure that the church’s ministries are supported by faithful and capable leaders. The committee also helps cultivate new leaders and prepares a slate of nominations for key leadership positions in the life of the church.

The Missions Committee helps guide and support the church’s outreach beyond its walls by strengthening relationships with our mission partners. The committee encourages congregational involvement through volunteer opportunities, service projects, and ongoing support for these partnerships. Through these efforts, the committee helps the church live out its faith by serving alongside our neighbors and responding to needs in the community and beyond.
