Caring Ministries
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who provide confidential, one-to-one care to people experiencing grief, divorce, infertility, loneliness, job loss, hospitalization, loss of a loved one, or any other life difficulty. Each Stephen Minister receives 50+ hours of training so he or she can provide the best possible Christian care to those who are hurting.
Once equipped, Stephen Ministries are prayerfully matched with a person going through a difficult time in his or her life. A Stephen Minister typically meets with a person once a week for about an hour to listen, care, encourage, and pray. The Stephen Minister brings Christ's presence into the person's life and also experiences Christ in the other person. It is a life-changing experience for both the person receiving care and the Stephen Minister.

Prayer Team
Prayer is one of the ways we stay connected to God and to one another, and it’s a meaningful part of life at Mosaic. Whether you’re carrying something heavy, celebrating something good, or simply need a moment to pause, you don’t have to hold it alone. Our Prayer Team is made up of people who are committed to praying faithfully throughout the week, lifting up the needs of our church and community with care and intention.
In addition to praying daily on their own, our Prayer Team gathers each Wednesday morning to pray together. If you’re not able to attend in person but still want to be part of this ministry, you can join our prayer team email list and receive requests to pray over throughout the week. It’s a simple but powerful way to stay connected and support one another, wherever you are.
On Sunday mornings, you’re invited to stop by the prayer station in the rotunda at Bleyl Middle School, where someone from our team would be honored to pray with you. You can also submit a prayer request online at any time. However you choose to share, know that your prayer matters, and you are being held in prayer by a community that cares.

At Home Communion
For those who are unable to join us for worship in person, we believe that connection to the body of Christ remains just as important. Our team is honored to bring the sacrament of Holy Communion to those who are homebound, in the hospital, in hospice care, or living in a nursing facility. These visits are more than a moment to receive communion—they are an opportunity to share prayer, presence, and a reminder that you are still deeply connected to your church family.
If you or someone you know would like to receive communion in this way, we would be grateful to make those arrangements. To schedule a visit or learn more, please contact Jean Miller and Frank Miller - jeanmm523@hotmail.com. Our hope is to meet people where they are, ensuring that no one is overlooked and that God’s grace continues to be shared in meaningful and tangible ways.
