What is the Listening Lab?

The Listening Lab was an opportunity for us to help shape the future of Mosaic Kids, Students, and Families! We hosted five listening labs that brought parents and grandparents together for meaningful conversations.

Our goal was to gather valuable input on the needs, hopes, and dreams for our family ministries as we work toward a collaborative vision. Together, we aim to develop discipleship pathways that:

Over five Listening Labs, 39 attendees—parents, grandparents, and volunteers—gathered to share their hopes, challenges, and dreams for Mosaic Kids, Students, and Families. 

What We Learned

Faith Ownership & Community – Families want kids to develop a lasting faith and form friendships with both peers and mentors. 

Safe Spaces & Leadership – There is a desire for kids to have a safe place to ask questions, grow in faith, and take on leadership roles. 

Challenges – Families struggle with busy schedules, faith conversations, technology boundaries, and finding community. 

Resources & Events – Parents seek faith-based parenting resources, more intergenerational activities, and local service opportunities that include also include young kids.
