Women’s Ministry Service Day at the TAC Conroe Mission Center

Mosaic Women’s Ministry is heading to the Texas Annual Conference Conroe Mission Center to help prepare for future disaster recovery efforts, and we would love for you to be part of it.

During our service day, we will assemble personal health and hygiene kits that the Mission Center can have ready to distribute when disaster strikes. We will be working in the Mission Center’s office space, which has room for 15 participants, so advance registration is encouraged.

Participants may serve for the full day or join us for the morning session:

Morning Session: 10:00 AM–12:30 PM
Lunch Break: 12:30–2:00 PM
Afternoon Session: 2:00–4:00 PM

Help Provide Supplies

Even if you are unable to attend the service day, you can still help us prepare these kits by providing needed supplies.

The Mission Center currently has an urgent need for the following items:

  • Adult backpacks with zipper closures, no drawstring closures

  • Disposable razors, minimum 3 blades

  • Toothbrush covers or caps

  • Shaving cream, travel size, 3.5 oz. maximum

  • Nail clippers, finger or toe size

  • Tissues, travel/pocket size, 10–20 count per pack

  • Deodorant/antiperspirant, travel size, 1–3 oz., solid or roll-on only

  • Hand wipes, 20–60 count per pack

  • Bath towels, new and unwashed, full size, no bath sheets

  • Men’s socks, new and unwashed

  • Bar soap, full size

  • Shampoo, travel size, 1–3 oz.

  • Conditioner, travel size, 1–3 oz.

Donated items may be brought to the service day or given to Rhonda Lewis at worship on September 6 or September 13.

Whether you spend the day assembling kits or help provide the supplies that fill them, this is a tangible way to care for our neighbors and help the United Methodist Church be ready to respond when communities experience disaster.
