Serve with Cy-Hope This Summer!

Serve with Cy-Hope This Summer
Mosaic has several ongoing opportunities to serve alongside Cy-Hope this summer. Whether you are looking for a one-time way to help, a regular rhythm of service, or volunteer hours for students, there are multiple ways to support Cy-Hope’s work in our community.
Backpack Barn Food Distribution
Cy-Hope’s Backpack Barn helps provide food support for local families and students. Volunteers are needed to help with bagging, distribution, and delivery driving.
Volunteers should sign up ahead of time and be sure to sign in using the QR code inside the barn for each shift.

The Hope Chest Resale Market Student Volunteers
Students looking for volunteer hours for NHS, college resumes, or simply a meaningful way to serve this summer can volunteer at Cy-Hope’s resale shop, The Hope Chest Resale Market.
The Hope Chest is looking for student volunteers who can commit to two hours one day a week to help with various projects that support Cy-Hope’s work in the community.
Students must register ahead of time. Walk-ins are not accepted, and a maximum of five students are accepted per date. Student volunteers must be at least 14 years old with a parent or guardian, or 16 years old to volunteer independently.
When students arrive, they should ask for Melissa Neer, the store manager, sign in using the QR code upstairs, and grab a name tag.

- Wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately.
- Shop before or after your shift, not during your shift.
- Please avoid personal phone use during your shift.
- Stay home if you are sick.
- Make sure transportation is arranged ahead of time. Students must be picked up 30 minutes before the store closes.

Hope Center Volunteer Opportunities
Cy-Hope’s Hope Centers provide safe, consistent spaces where kids can build positive relationships and participate in activities like crafts, sports, reading, homework help, field trips, and tutoring.
Hope Centers are located in several communities, including a trailer park, apartment complexes, and Waller. Volunteers and groups are welcome for one-time special events, but Cy-Hope is especially looking for consistent weekly volunteers who can build relationships with the children.
Each volunteer slot is for one volunteer. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Those over age 14 may volunteer with a parent.
All volunteers must complete Cy-Hope’s safe and secure training before serving. The training includes a short video and quiz and takes less than five minutes.
