Helping Hands Flood Relief Trip: Kerrville, TX

Recent storms brought devastating flash flooding to communities across the Texas Hill Country and parts of Central and West Texas. Families have been displaced, homes and businesses have been damaged, and many communities now face the long and difficult work of cleaning up and rebuilding.

Mosaic UMC’s Helping Hands team is planning a mission trip to support these ongoing flood recovery efforts.

The team plans to leave after worship on Sunday, August 9, and return on Saturday, August 15. You are invited to join us for the entire trip or for any portion of the week that fits your schedule.

Depending on the needs identified by local organizations, our work may include removing flood-damaged materials from homes, cleaning up properties, or assisting with rebuilding projects. Lodging has already been arranged, and we will work with organizations in the area to find meaningful projects near where the team will be staying.

The final cost has not yet been determined, but we anticipate it will be approximately $100 per person. This will help cover mission trip insurance, meals, fuel, supplies, and the house cleaning fee.

As these communities begin the long road toward recovery, we have an opportunity to offer practical help, encouragement, and the reminder that they are not facing this work alone. We would love for you to join us as we serve our neighbors in the Hill Country.
